Volunteering at The Edge

Whether you're good with numbers, words, technology, or people, God wants to use your gifts and skills to make a difference. There are several opportunities to serve at The Edge.

A good place to start is to contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Tallison Jett.  She can help you get your feet wet in a number of serving opportunities. She can be reached by email at tallison@theedgechurch.org.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Below are just a few of the opportunities currently available at The Edge. If you want to partner with us to help people on their journey to a better life through Christ, let us know and we will find a place for you to use your unique gifts and passions.

  • PRODUCTION & MEDIA

There has never been a better time to join the team than now. The Edge is growing and we are looking for people to help make things happen each Sunday morning. The members of our Worship and Production Team love to have fun and lead others to experience the presence of the Lord. Opportunities include: Service Director, Facebook Live Producer, Photographer, Lighting Technician, Sound Technician, Computer Graphics Technician. These are Volunteer positions. For more information, contact Worship & Creative Arts Pastor, Cindy McDonald at cindy@theedgechurch.org.

  • First Impression Team (FIT)

The First Impression Team connects people to our church and helps to coordinate and manage our services from the moment you park, come in, sit, and leave our facility. If you'd like to be a part of this team contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Tallison Jett at tallison@theedgechurch.org.

GREETERS - Greeters are often the first people to welcome a newcomer to our church. They are located at the entrance doors as well as in the EdgeKidz lobby and greet people as they are entering and leaving our services.

GUEST SERVICES - Guest Services is located at the main entrance of the church. This is where people can get their questions answered about our church and our various ministries, sign up for upcoming events, and receive a First Time Guest gift.

SAFETY TEAM - The Safety Team helps to keep the facility secure by patrolling the parking lot, lobby, Worship Center and children’s areas.

EDGEKIDZ CHECK-IN - This position requires just a little bit of computer skill and a big smile. You'll assist parents with getting their children checked in and collect all the necessary information. Parents want to feel like they're leaving their children to learn about Jesus in a safe, secure and organized environment.

PARKING HOSTS - The Parking Team assists people to find parking and direct traffic flow in our parking lot.
They also put up and take down the A-frame signs in the parking lot on Sundays and are ready to help with an umbrella on rainy days.

COFFEE HOST - The Coffee bar is located in the Worship Center near the breezeway entrance. It is open before and after our service on Sundays. The Coffee Host is there to make sure the coffee is set up and ready with supplies, and be a smiling face for those who are getting their coffee. And ready to help clean up a spill if needed!

USHERS - Ushers assist people with getting seated in the Worship Center as well as assistance with collecting the offering, and other helpful tasks such as distributing communion.
