We are called to "BE" the church

Jesus served both physical and spiritual needs of people.

The Edge is committed to doing the same.

2020 Mission trip schedule

The new dates will be determined soon! During our time in Honduras, we will work with House of Hope. House of Hope is a vocational rehabilitation program for women leaving the world prostitution and human trafficking. Their purpose is to provide these women with a means to make a living and establish them in their faith in Christ. Your Edge Mission Team will be helping these women learn valuable and practical skills during the week we are there, to enable them to earn money to support themselves and their families, while teaching Bible lessons and fundamentals of the Gospel. Additionally we will be doing light construction, helping them to complete their new facility in San Pedro Sula.

We are already building the team. If you are interested, please contact Robin Lewis.

Local Community Outreach

The Greer Soup Kitchen, a part of Daily Bread Ministries, is a non-profit, charitable organization that was founded in 1990 when concerned citizens observed that people in their own town were going hungry. The Soup Kitchen began in a run-down storefront in downtown Greer. One meal was served on their first day. Today over one hundred and fifty meals per day are served in a modern restaurant-style facility. They rely completely upon donations of food and money from private citizens, churches and businesses. They receive no monies from governmental agencies. Their Food Pantry shelves rely on the support and generosity of the community to keep a variety of food items in stock. They are also in need of financial donations and kitchen tools and equipment. The Edge regularly works in their kitchen periodically, assisting in meal service for 150 to 200 members of our community in need.

Backpack Buddies: This is an ongoing program with Lake Forrest Elementary school, to provide meals and snacks to children who may not have adequate meals over the weekends! We collect food and financial donations to prepare packs for the children to take home on Friday afternoons...because hunger doesn't stop on the weekends.
